The firearms instructor class is designed for anyone wanting credentials to instruct other shooters, be it your department, or civilians wanting to instruct students.

This course introduces new instructors in teaching techniques as well as identifying and resolving shooting problems and errors. It is designed to introduce the Firearms Instructor to safety while conducting live fire training for his/her department. Topics start with basic shooting fundamentals such as grip, stance, trigger control, weapons manipulation, malfunctions, loading / un-loading, multiple targets, and proper use of cover.

As the course progresses, the student will learn techniques of running a safe range, organization of range personnel to include assistant instructors. When this class is completed, each student will improve in his or her ability to safely handle and deploy firearms as well as operate a safe range.

At Tiger Valley, we believe that leadership by example is vital to the Firearms Instructor.
